Members of the CSA will be saddened to learn that  Paul Bernard died on Sunday morning, February 6th,  from cancer.  Paul was a longtime member of the Department of Sociology at the University of Montreal.  Among his many accomplishments and collaborations, he was the key figure in negotiating the Research Data Centers program with Statistics Canada, a program which has flourished magnificently, aiding the research of social scientists throughout Canada.
