The Department of Sociology at the University of Calgary invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level, effective July 1, 2013. The successful candidate will have a dynamic research program in the area of criminology and will contribute to teaching and supervision at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. The candidate will also be expected to teach at least one of the Department’s required undergraduate courses in the area of research methods, statistics or social theory.
In addition to a productive research program and effective teaching , including mentoring and supervising honours and graduate students, the successful candidate is expected to commit to departmental and university service, and engage with the community.
A completed PhD at the time of appointment is required.
