Conference: The Many Dimensions of Herbert Marcuse

The Many Dimensions of Herbert Marcuse

On October 1st and 2nd, Brandeis University will host a conference to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the publication of One-Dimensional Man, the most famous book of former Brandeis faculty member and Frankfurt School member Herbert Marcuse (1898-1979).  The conference will explore Marcuse‘s intellectual and political legacy and coincides with our recent archival discovery of an early draft of One-Dimensional Mandonated to Brandeis by Marcuse himself.  Keynote addresses will be given by distinguished Frankfurt School scholars Martin Jay and Douglas Kellner.

Registration is free!  For more details, please visit the conference website: www.brandeis.edu/marcuse2014
