Welcome to the website of the Canadian Sociological Association‘s newly formed Rural Society research cluster!
The purpose of this research cluster is to support and publicize the work of researchers whose interests encompass rural sociology. We are working with the CSA Executive towards building a regular stream of papers within the annual Learneds meetings, hosting the first networking event at the CSA 2014, and publicizing relevant news and events.
We currently have three sessions allocated to Rural Sociology: Animals and Society, Dynamics of Change in Rural Labour Markets and Communities, and Settler Colonialism and Digital Technologies (see the CSA Call for Papers). If you are considering contributing a paper that doesn’t quite fit these themes but is related to Rural Sociology, please contact me.
To join our mailing list and/or send news and events for publication on this website, please send an email to Jennifer Jarman, firstname.lastname@example.org
