Nomination Process

How can one become part of CSA student issues committee?

Any member in good standing of the CSA can nominate students. The process is as follows:

  1. Suggestions are initially made to the Nominating Committee, at which time a submission is requested in writing wherein a student writes a statement of intent, or a type of declaration or mandate.
  2. The student’s name stands and is voted on either at the annual general meeting, or in some cases, by mail ballot. The student is informed of the decision and the two-year term begins at this point.
  3. The student attends the two executive meetings per year at the CSA one in June at Congress  (the annual conference of the Association) and the other via teleconference in November. The Chair of the Student Concerns Subcommittee has her/his expenses for attending the June meeting partially covered by the Association.
