Webmaster

The CSA-SCS seeks a new Webmaster to begin September 1, 2013 for a three year term. This is a volunteer position however it will be eligible for Conference travel and accommodation subsidies.

The Webmaster's primary responsibility is to maintain and update the association's website (content will be updated by the Office Manager). The job requires no more than a few hours each month or as required.

 

Experience with the administration of content-management systems, including but not limited to account privileges and plugins management, webpage design, and search engine optimization, is required. Working knowledge of HTML and inline CSS coding would be considered assets. Prior experience with Wordpress, Omeka and Open Conference System would be useful.

Communications Officer

The CSA-SCS seeks a Communications Office (CO) to begin September 1, 2013. The CO's responsibilities include working with the CSA's Office Manager on the association's E-bulletin and website content as well as production of rich media content such as pictures and videos taken at the annual conferences. The CO will also work with the association's Executive Committee and Office Manager in facilitating special public and media outreach, such as maintaining the association's Twitter and Facebook and other social media accounts, issuing press releases and official statements, and helping to coordinate responses to expert requests by the media. Experience with editing of publications and newsletters, writing news releases or working with media are assets.
 

The successful candidate will be appointed to the Executive Committee for a three year term but will not have voting privileges until the appointment is ratified by the CSA-SCS Membership in the 2014 Elections.
