Introducing new Communications Officer and Webmaster
The association is pleased to welcome two new members to our team of dedicated Executive Committee and Subcommittee volunteers whose efforts ensure that the CSA-SCS continues to grow as a vibrant and valuable organization for members.

Tina has been involved with the association for several years and has acted as member and Chair of the John Porter Tradition of Excellance Book Award. As an experienced social media user, she brings a vision for this position which will acheive the association's objectives.
"The Canadian Sociological Association is in a prime position to enhance existing links among scholars in sociology, to bring information on the discipline to the next generation of sociologists, and to create a shared pool of information among all of us who are interested in our discipline."
The CSA-SCS Executive Committee has appointed Tina as the Communications Officer effective September 1, 2013 for a three year term. The membership will be asked to ratify this appointment at the Annual General Meeting to be held in May 2014 during the Annual Conference. Tina will then acuire voting privileges as an Executive Committee member for the remainder of her term.
