The Canadian Sociological Association/La Société canadienne de sociologie seeks an Associate editor for the Committing Sociology section of the Canadian Review of Sociology / Revue canadienne de sociologie. This section publishes short pieces touching on controversies or emerging issues in the discipline, symposia consisting of a series of short articles discussing or debating an emerging, central or controversial sociological issue, and review essays.
The Committing Sociology editor is responsible for soliciting, managing, and handling submissions to this section, and works closely with the Academic Editor of the CRS/RCS.
The ideal candidate will be an established scholar affiliated with a Canadian university, who possesses an appreciation for diverse theoretical approaches and methodologies, and a solid record of publication in peer-reviewed journals in Canada and abroad. Ability to read submissions in French and English is a major asset, though not a requirement.
