Log into the Virtual Congress Platform
Remote participants (presenters, panelists, and attendees) will be able to access the session through the Congress Virtual Platform. All attendees must be registered delegates with the Canadian Sociological Association Conference to access the platform.
Those attending Congress virtually can now access the virtual platform via the Congress website.
- To log in, use the same username and password you used to register for Congress.
- Once you’re logged in, be sure to take a Platform Tour to get oriented.
Locate and click the “Live Support” button on the lower right of the virtual platform. Answer the pre-chat questions and click “Start the chat”.
The Zoom meeting link for your session can be accessed via your association’s agenda on the Congress Virtual Platform. To find your association’s agenda, please log into the platform, click on ‘Programme > Associations’ and click on ‘View Agenda’ in your association’s tile. You will see a list of all virtual sessions for your association. Click on ‘Join now’ to access the Zoom meeting of that specific session.
TIP: Download the most up to date version of Zoom
Our hybrid sessions will be in live ‘Meeting’ format whereby all attendees are able to be seen, heard, and share their screens.
Remote audience members will be allowed into the session by the Zoom Room Monitor at the designated start time. Attendees may type in their questions through the chat option or ask them orally.
Speakers (presenters and panelists) should access the session 25-30 minutes in advance for Green Room time to ensure their video, audio, and screen-sharing for presentations is working correctly. Speakers are responsible for sharing their screens from their own computer for presentations during the session (if applicable).
