Professional Background and Affiliations:  Since October 2019 I have had the opportunity to work as a research assistant (RA) for Dr. Emily Milne and assisted her in her community-engaged work examining family/school relationships and educational and social inequality. As her RA, I have attended numerous schools in the Edmonton public and catholic school systems and work with educators, administrators, students, and community partners. I have facilitated focus groups with parents, Indigenous Elders, and students. I have also assisted with a student photovoice project, supporting student engagement and participation, as well as knowledge dissemination activities.
