CSA 2019: ITDS Cluster Meeting

We would like to invite any interested delegates to attend the first business meeting of the new Internet, Technology, and Digital Sociology research cluster.

  • Time: Tuesday June 4 at 5:15-6:15pm (following our last session at the conference)
  • Location: ANGU 434

The ITDS cluster aims to facilitate networking and collaboration among those who share research and teaching interests related to the social implications of the Internet and digital technologies, broadly defined. This meeting will provide an opportunity to connect like-minded sociologists and to set our agenda and future directions for the cluster. We encourage members’ suggestions in terms of initiatives, awards, and future conference sessions. This meeting is open to anyone interested in joining our membership or just learning more about the cluster. You can find more information on the conference program.

Overall, our objective with this cluster is to provide a centralized space for sociologists to share their diverse research at the intersection of internet/technology and other areas of sociology in order to reduce the current fragmentation of this discourse and foster its growth within Canadian sociology.

We hope to see you there!
