CSA 2019: ITDS Sessions and Meeting Next Week

The annual meeting of the Canadian Sociological Association is upcoming next week at the University of British Columbia (June 3-6). The Internet, Technology, & Digital Sociology (ITDS) research cluster is affiliated with five sessions at the conference. Check out the CSA website for more information regarding the full list of presentations for each session.

  3. Internet, Technology, and Society: General Topics
    • Tuesday June 4 at 8:30-10:00am (ANGU 237)
  4. Technology-Mediated Labour, Culture, and Collective Action
    • Tuesday June 4 at 1:30-3:00pm (ANGU 434)
  5. Communities, Networks, and Relationships in the Internet Age
    • Tuesday June 4 at 3:30-5:00pm (ANGU 434)

Furthermore, the first ITDS business meeting will take place following our final sponsored session on Tuesday June 4 from 5:15-6:15pm in ANGU 434. Any interested delegates are welcome to attend to connect with other like-minded sociologists and discuss the future directions and agenda of the ITDS cluster.

Following the cluster meeting, we would like to extend an invitation to join us for an informal reception. We will be at “The Gallery Patio & Lounge” from 6:30-8:00pm to continue the discussions from the meeting over some food and drinks (at your own cost). This venue is located on the UBC campus just a short walk away. We hope to see you there!
