The Social Cultural Studies Programme, School of Arts and Social Science at Memorial University invites applications for a 5-month teaching term position in Sociology at the rank of Lecturer or Visiting Assistant Professor, depending on the applicant’s qualifications. The position will begin on August 1, 2026 and end on December 31, 2026.

Preference will be given to candidates who hold a Ph.D. in Sociology. Recent post-secondary teaching experience in the specified subject areas is preferred. In the Fall semester, the successful candidate will be required to teach two sessions of Introduction to Sociology (Sociology 1000), as well as Classical Social Theory (Sociology 3150), and Technology and
Society (Sociology 2120).
