Social Theory
Social theory provides conceptual and analytical frameworks to examine, interpret, and critique the complex dynamics that shape human behavior, social interactions, and collective existence. Synthesizing insights from various fields like philosophy, sociology, history, science, and transdisciplinary knowledge, it uncovers the underlying structures that govern social life – serving as an essential intellectual tool for diagnosing systemic challenges and imagining alternative possibilities. This research cluster brings together sociologically oriented theorists committed to analyzing and responding to evolving societal and historical realities. Through rigorous inquiry and interdisciplinary collaboration, members interrogate pressing social questions, analyze institutional power, and contribute to transformative social thought.
