(SCS1) Academic Basics: Applying for Research Funding

Conference Highlights, Panels and Plenary, Professional Development, Virtual
Student Concerns Subcommittee

An integral part of academic research involves applying for funding, whether that is funding through a university award competition or council/SSHRC funding. In this workshop hosted by the CSA Student Concerns Subcommittee, students will have the opportunity to hear from other graduate students and researchers about their experiences navigating the funding application process. During the workshop, students will have the option to join different discussion rooms which will be hosted by subcommittee members and other facilitators. The focus of these rooms will be collaborative discussions where attendees can discuss their experiences, challenges, and more with each other and the facilitators. The workshop will cover a broad range of potential topics as we work to demystify the funding process.
