The School of Social Sciences in the Faculty of Arts at Laurentian University invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for an existing tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in Sociology. The preferred start date is July 1, 2026.
Candidates must have completed a PhD degree by the start date of the appointment. The applicants who are in the process of completing a PhD will also be considered. Relevant teaching and research experience will be an asset.
This position is reserved for a candidate with an Indigenous identity (First Nations, Inuit and Metis) who have ties to their community.
