The Department of Sociology invites applications for the position of Head of Department. The area of specialization is open. The successful candidate is expected to have a record of academic leadership and excellence in teaching and research, be prepared to contribute to the department’s undergraduate and graduate programs, and have an active research program. The new head of department will be able to
play a key role in the growth and future direction of the department with commitments to equitable leadership, support of diverse careers as well as diversity and inclusion in the field of Sociology, and a commitment to supporting Indigenization, decolonization, and anti-racism. Prospective candidates should be full professors or senior associate professors.
