International Association for Vegan Sociologists: Peer Reviewing in Sociology
Peer-review is an important part of academic life, but few of us receive training on how to do this effectively (and compassionately). This webinar is designed to demystify this process.
As part of the International Association of Vegan Sociology’s launch for the Student Journal of Vegan Sociology, the faculty advisory board has designed a webinar on professional peer-review geared for students who are new to the process. The journal’s editorial board is student-led and this event was initially planned to offer as a training session. However, we quickly realized that this webinar would be of significant professional utility to the larger sociological community.
Given the heavy collaboration between professional groups (see below), we expect this event to present a unique opportunity for students and scholars to engage with the international sociological community.

His research centres on Critical Animal Studies and the sociology of human-nonhuman animal relations.
