The Department of Sociology at Wilfrid Laurier University (Waterloo campus) invites applications for a Tenure-Track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. We seek applicants with expertise in the Sociology of Work and Professions, with the ability to teach sociological theory. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain and advance a research program in the sociology of work and professions.
A Ph.D. (or ABD with doctorate awarded by July 1, 2026) is a required qualification. We will give preference to candidates with doctorates in Sociology; however, sociologists with doctoral degrees in closely related disciplines will be considered. The candidate’s record of research and scholarship should demonstrate their expertise in the sociology of work and professions.
